Marc Isaacs is a British filmmaker and documentarian who has gained recognition for his naturalistic and sensitive portrayals of everyday people and their lives. Isaacs was born in London in 1960 and began his career as a cameraman and sound recordist for news programs. He later transitioned to documentary filmmaking in the mid-1990s, producing films that explore themes of immigration, social class, and the human experience. His notable works include "Lift" (2001), "Travellers" (2003), and "The Road: A Story of Life and Death" (2012), which won the Special Jury Prize at the Hot Docs Canadian International Documentary Festival.
